Professor Ross Harper CBE MA LLB D Univ
Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board


Professor Harper holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Arts degrees from Glasgow University. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for Services to Law at Glasgow University in 2002. Professor Harper is an Emeritus Professor of Law at Strathclyde University. He was awarded a CBE for public and political services in 1986.

Professor Harper is a consultant with Harper Macleod, solicitors. He was a senior partner of the firm and helped develop the business from its inception. Harper Macleod now has over 150 staff and 30 partners.

Professor Harper was President of the International Bar Association from 1994-1996 and prior to this he was president of The Law Society of Scotland from 1988-1989.
  He has a distinguished political career and has been active in many charitable activities such as the Ross Harper Foundation. Professor Harper has several publications in the legal and political fields.

Professor Harper is currently Non-Executive Chairman of:

Mining (Scotland) Limited - a private company which bought the Scottish assets of British Coal during its privatisation in 1954. It has 1,000 employees and it operates 14 open cast sites through its wholly owned subsidiary Scottish Coal Ltd.

Scottish Biopower Ltd - a recently established company designed to build and operate generating power stations using wood and biofuels as energy.

European Scanning Centre - situated in Harley St London, providing a new era in disease prevention and detection It is the U.K. market leader in electron beam tomography (EBCT) a faster and safer type of CT scanning.

Prof. Harper has extensive experience in companies with mining and other interests.
 
  Phillip Thomas BSc MBM AIG
Managing Director


Phillip Thomas was appointed Director of Admiralty Resources NL on 22 April 2003.

Phillip commenced his geological career working for Control Data Mining Center as a Consultant specialising in drill hole analysis, computer based exploration and mine applications. Subsequently he worked in investment banking and asset management.

Phillip was the Managing Partner of Panopus Partners, a marketing strategy firm, prior to his 2004 appointment as Chairman and Managing Director of Admiralty Resources. He is also a Chairman of the Board of Cia Minera Santa Barbara and a Director of NILNAV Orthopaedics Pty Ltd in which Admiralty Resources holds a 10% interest.

  An Associate member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Phillip holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology from the Australian National University and a Master of Business (Marketing) from Monash University.

 
  Robert Michael Clarke BSc P Eng
Managing Director, Admiralty Resources Chile Ltd.


Robert Michael Clarke was appointed Managing Director of Admiralty Resources NL and a director of the boards of Admiralty Resources NL and Cia Minera Santa Bárbara on 5 October 2007.

Michael, located in Santiago (Chile) is a graduate mining engineer from Montana State University USA, with over 30 years professional experience in management and senior supervisory positions within the North America and Latin American minerals industries. His experience includes mineral exploration, mine development and construction, open pit mine operations, mine engineering and planning, metallurgical processing operations, and contract mining services

His corporate management experience covers profit and cost accountability for on-going operations, strategic planning, corporate representation and business development, and procedures design and implementation.
  Michael has a distinguished mining career, with his most recent role being Vice President Special Projects at Coeur d’ Alene Mining Corporation in Latin America. He previously has worked for Cominco, Placer Dome and other major publicly listed companies.

He has completed post graduate studies in Economic Geology and is a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of The Province of Ontario, College of Engineers of Chile, Institute Of Mining Engineers of Chile, Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, Asociación de Ingenieros de Minas, and Metalurgistas y Geólogos de Méjico.

 
  John Anderson BCom MBA
Non-Executive Director


John has over 25 years experience in the finance sector in banking, investment banking and consulting areas. John has held positions of Managing Director or Chairman with a number of public and private companies during his Australian career.

John has specialised in general financing and capital raisings, balance sheet and profit and loss management, resource and technology analysis, investment and development, design and implementation of planning information and control systems, strategic advice, and developing business plans for new and existing entities.

John is an executive director of Powersave Pty Ltd (a company supplying energy management solutions).
  Among previous positions held, John was the managing director of an Australian publicly listed mining company and was responsible for the turning around of its unprofitable operations and the implementation of mining and operating plans.

Mr. Prior is a Chartered Accountant in public practice. As Director of Prior & Co Pty Ltd, a chartered accounting and advisory firm, Mr Prior has provided accounting and businesss advice to the Company since 13 September 2004.
